Supporting Programs

A large number of biological functions are built into the animal model used in the GRAZPLAN DS tools. The details of these are not apparent in the tools themselves but are of interest to those wanting to understand the information upon which the tools are based. Two Excel spreadsheet programs on cattle and sheep biology, CattleExplorer and SheepExplorer, have been developed to show how the various functions of the animal model work and the effects of changing parameters and input variables.

Three other spreadsheet programs, ME_Required, CP_Required and Ca_P_Required, have been designed to help users estimate the nutrient requirements of sheep and cattle. Click the links to download these spreadsheets.
